John Sechrest
Facilitator
John Sechrest has been involved with Startup Weekend for over a decade. He supports and strengthens startup ecosystems with his regular work, hosting Seattle Startups Open Coffee, Lean Startup Seattle, The Seattle Angel Conference and a Fund Manager Peer Learning group. This will be his 70th Startup Weekend. He has done startup weekends in the Pacific NW, Virginia, Norway, Kosovo and Albania.

Rekha Bhatt
Rekha Bhatt is the Chief Program Officer at the Washington State Charter Schools Association (WA Charters). Rekha joined WA Charters in 2014 and created the Association's school services arm. She oversees startup granting to schools and supports the School Leadership and Design Fellowship, the Strong Start planning year program, and the True Measure Collaborative, a unique public-private consortium focused on inclusive practices for all students. Rekha has served as a judge for Startup Weekend EDU Seattle. Previously, she was a founding Director of Curriculum and Instruction at an independent charter school in Brooklyn and later served as the school's founding Director of Operations. Rekha began her career as a Teach For America corps member in West Philadelphia, where she taught high school English. She holds an M.S.Ed in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
Amber Bittner
Amber Bittner is a current Accredited Small Business Consultant with vast experience within the military community as well as successful business ownership experience. As a current business instructor and consultant for the Region X Veterans Business Outreach Center, her clients find a lot of value in her 15 years experience within small business banking, accounting, and large box retail management.
Vicky Tamaru
Founder of the non-profit buildJUSTLY, Vicky is an innovative and strategic business thinker with tactical chops who loves playing well with others. No matter where she does her magic, she stays simultaneously focused on solutions and systematic reverberations: as a Corporate Consultant, Entrepreneur, Non-Profit Leader, Part-time Distance Learning Hall Monitor, or whatever.
Melanie Kong
High school STEM teacher for 7 years, creator of a student startups program, and co-founder and CEO of Floop, EdTech app for meaningful feedback faster.
Bury Huang
ntrepreneurs, Software development leader with 20 years experience in software engineering development.

Worked as engineer in multiple large software enterprise and grew into a software development leader with deep knowledge of backend, cloud, blockchain architecture and project management.

Enthusiastic to lead and build diverse and high performance software engineering team.
Marion Desmazieres
Marion Desmazières is a portfolio manager for the Alexa Fund, Amazon's corporate venture capital fund investing in voice technology. Previously, she was responsible for expanding developer programs to new countries and languages for Alexa, the voice service that powers millions of devices like the Amazon Echo. She also managed Alexa education partnerships that trained tens of thousands of developers on voice design and skill development through coding schools and e-learning platforms like Codecademy.

Marion tries to give back to the startup community as a mentor for the Alexa Accelerator program, a global facilitator for Startup Weekend, and an advisor for the BuiltByGirls WAVE program.
Christopher Gonzales
Software and product leader at Amazon.
Henry Wong
Technology and Consumer Electronics Innovator. Apart from his day job at Bluetooth SIG, Henry is also an inventor, entrepreneur, and community collaborator. He got his first patent at age 21; founded FenSens, which was conceived at Startup Weekend; mentor at UW Master of Science in Entrepreneurship degree program; partnership lead at TEDxSeattle; and inspire children by coaching basketball.

Henry has 20 years of experience in working with Fortune 500 companies on 3 continents in the areas of semiconductor, product marketing, business development, product management, and product development.

Henry holds a B.S. in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Kishari Sing
Kishari has participated in Startup Weekend EDU multiple years as a judge and team mentor. She is a cofounder and now CEO of ThemeSpark, an award-winning startup offering a K12 curriculum workflow tool for teachers, with more than 20K registered teacher users globally. ThemeSpark.net was seed funded by an angel investor in Seattle and is now bootstrapped.

Lee Ngo
Lee Ngo (@LeePNgo) is the Community Manager of Educative (educative.io). He has over 15 years of experience with companies such as UP Global (acquired by Techstars) Galvanize, Metis (owned by Kaplan), and the Greater Foundation. He has also collaborated with organizations such as Apple, Amazon, IBM, Microsoft, and Google. Lee is also a filmmaker with EAST Films (east-films.com) with a deep passion for visual storytelling as an effective tool of engagement.

Snohomish STEM Network, connecting industry with future workforce inspiration and talent.
Minda Brusse
I cofounded First Row Partners in 2020 to bring investment capital to pre-seed startups in the PNW and beyond. As an extension of that work, I am also a Venture Partner for 2048 Ventures. Previously, served in cofounder and/or leadership roles in several startups.
Priya Cloutier
Senior intellectual property attorney with experience in all aspects of intellectual property protection, strategy and law, including patents, trademarks, copyright, and trade secrets and addressing issues regarding patentability analysis, drafting, filing, patent prosecution, transactions, standards, cease and desist issues, indemnification, due diligence, trademark and patent infringement analysis, design arounds, right to market clearances, competitive landscapes, and requests to license. Expertise in drafting and negotiating international, commercial, supplier, partner, collaboration and development agreements, joint research, NDAs, supply contracts, master service agreements, SaaS, cloud services and software, and consortium deals with strong IP, export control, compliance, and other complex issues.

Experience with client counseling on IP strategy and open source and client, paralegal and attorney training, trade secret protection, document marking, government contracts compliance. Experience as outside general counsel for startups and closely held corporation, including outside counsel management, international employment, debt recovery, privacy, anti-corruption, and open source. Experience with government contracts (grants , CRADA, ITAR) and compliance programs. Strong management skills.
Josie Watanabe
Lifetime educator, connect teens and young adults to paid opportunities-meaningful community engagement and real world job/career skills. Executive board member of the Young Adult Library Association (YALSA).

The Entrepreneurial Law Clinic (ELC) is an innovative clinic serving entrepreneurs throughout the Pacific Northwest. The ELC teams law and business students with pro bono attorneys and business advisors.
